Nuovo allestimento
Il Percorso Libro del MUSLI è stato riallestito dando più spazio al tema dei libri animati, anche per poter ospitare le mostre temporanee in corso (POP-APP Exhibitions).
Grazie alla disponibilità dell’Opera Barolo, è stata allestita una nuova sala permanente dedicata alla storia del libro animato, con alcuni volumi antichi a partire dal Cinquecento e un’ampia presenza di rari esemplari per l’infanzia del XIX secolo. Focus specifici sono dedicati ai libri con parti mobili di argomento tecnico-didattico, ai rapporti tra libri animati e teatro e alla storia della produzione italiana.
La nuova sala completa il percorso esistente al MUSLI che tratta dei rapporti con il precinema e presenta una rassegna didattica sulle varie tipologie di movimento, anche con il supporto di applicativi interattivi e video.
L’allestimento permette di valorizzare il fondo di circa mille libri animati conservato presso la Fondazione Tancredi di Barolo.
La nuova sala è dedicata all’ing. Emilio Clara, grande bibliofilo torinese, i cui eredi hanno contribuito all’allestimento della stessa.
The new set up of the Book Area gives more space to the theme of movable books, in order to host the present temporary exhibitions (POP-APPExhibitions).
Thanks to the generosity of Opera Barolo, a new permanent room has been set up on the history of movable books, displaying some antique books dating back to the 16th century and a great number of rare 19th century children’s books .
Moreover, the exhibition focuses on didactic books on tecnical and scientific subjects, on the relationship between movable books and the theatre and on the history of the Italian production.
The new room complements the MUSLI existing exhibits on the links of movable books with pre-cinema and presents a didactic overview of the various types of movement, supported by interactive and video devices.
The new set up contributes to enhancing the collection of about a thousand movable books hosted by the Fondazione Tancredi di Barolo.
The new room is dedicated to Emilio Clara, an engineer and great bibliophile whose heirs have supported its realization.
Il nuovo allestimento è stato inaugurato online mercoledì 17 febbraio 2021 durante il Convegno internazionale “POP-APP. International Conference on description, conservation and use of movable books”
L’allestimento è visitabile anche in presenza – nel rispetto delle normative vigenti – dal 18 febbraio 2021, con prenotazione consigliata.

The new set up POP-APP MUSLI was opened on February 17, 2021 during the online conference “POP-APP. International Conference on description, conservation and use of movable books”.
On www.pop-app.org you could virtually visit the entire exhibition with the support of video content.
The exhibition is also open to visitors – in compliance with current regulations – from February 18, 2021, with reservations recommended.
